Fellowship & Benevolence Committee

The main duties of the Fellowship Committee include, but not limited to, promoting fellowship and sisterly and brotherly love among the church members, being there when a member needs someone. The committee ensures that there is someone at the side of the needy ones at the most crucial times in their life to inspire them to excellence. It connects the members, promotes mutual acquaintances with each other and maintains a strong bond thereof by responding to any arising differences. Fellowship committee members not only strive to advance the spirit of mutual love among the church community but also encourage the members to actively participate in the Christian role of helping each other regardless of who they are so that we live in harmony.

The Fellowship Committee greets and welcomes guests, helps newcomers properly settle and integrate into our congregation and community and provides useful information to members. It also encourages kids and youth of Ethiopian origin learn their culture and identity and promotes the humanitarian and divine roles of our church. The committee encourages and supports the members to actively engage in spiritual activities by humbly and attentively serving God so that they lead a Christian life filled with peace and joy.

Ecclesiastes 4:10-12

For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
